Who would think of Sunday dinner to mean guacamole, spinach dip, quesadillas, and pigs-in-a-blanket? Me, that's who. And my husband. We like going beyond the pizza norm for Superbowl, and go for homemade finger foods that encourage a couple hours of grazing. Of course, we didn't plan ahead enough to invite anyone, but that didn't stop us from going all out.
Daniel made the guacamole. I used to not like avocados, but this changes my mind. Thanks to Martha Stewart, I made a yummy hot spinach dip. Brylee helped with the pigs-in-a-blanket and Daniel whipped up some delicious black bean, bell pepper and onion quesadillas. We also had flat bread with hummus and cream soda. Mmmmm!
Superbowl is a perfect time to indulge in a Sunday evening with homemade dips, finger foods, and quality family time in front of the TV.
